Square working on MMORPG for the 360

No long-winded rant needed here. More solid facts from the people that matter. This time, it's from the director and executive producer of Final Fantasy III, Hiromichi Tanaka during an interview with Pro-G and Cubed3.
Pro-G: So what are you working on now? Any plans for the future?

HT: I'm still working on XI as it's on-going but we are also working on a next-generation MMORPG for 360 and Vista but PS3 is a possibility.

Strangely enough, a friend and I were discussing this just last night. Going off the record for a bit here, I'm almost entirely sure the next Kingdom Hearts will be on the Wii, seeing as how the target demographic of the console and the game are both very similar. Square also specified the next KH wouldn't be on the PS3. Final Fantasy will never move from Sony systems and that suits me just fine. FF is Square's most important and popular franchise and it deserves to look as good as it possibly can and play even better.

As for the 360 ... well, that's what yesterday's discussion was about. 360 support has been non-existant so far, but seeing as how Square has now licensed Unreal Engine 3, we might see them make use of it on the platform it was designed for.

To be honest, what I really want to see is something that can live up to a Final Fantasy in terms of depth and storytelling and I want to see it on a non-Sony platform.
